About The Event

Peer mentoring is a form of mentoring that promotes a give-and-take dynamic, where both individuals offer advice, learn from each other, and experience personal growth and development. In international service learning peer mentoring, both participants, who are from different countries, will be paired up and develop a peer-mentoring relationship. This trust-based relationship creates an open environment where both individuals, who are dedicated and committed to do social services, can feel comfortable sharing their experiences in service learning and volunteering, offering feedback to one another about the service goals and objectives, and even working together to organize service learning projects/activities. The most important part of the international service learning peer mentoring is being open to both offering and accepting advice, guidance and suggestions, as well as practicing service leadership skills.
